“Can you coax your mind from its wandering, and keep to the original oneness?”

Lao Tzu

Welcome!

I hope you find inspiration here…a spark of recognition. It is my wish that you experience your own true essence that is “the original oneness.” It is always right here inside you, waiting for you.

When I was a college student, I stumbled upon the practice of meditation. I was an unlikely candidate on most counts, but I was taking an Introduction to Asian Religions class and the professor required us to meditate in class. At first I merely meditated for credit, that is until some weeks later when my inner lens began to open. Almost as if by magic, I started seeing the world with new perception. A subtle beauty everywhere emerged from its seeming hiding. My understanding deepened. A sense of wonder sprouted. And it was impossible not to notice the transformation. At that point, I humbly sought to practice in earnest, in and outside of class.

Over the next few years my meditation journey took me far and wide. Then thirty-three years ago I met my meditation teacher and have been her devoted student ever since. My inner life has been so rich and extraordinary. And to think it all began with an innocuous introduction to meditation in college!

While I was contemplating my next chapter as an empty nester, I felt a strong inspiration to teach meditation to those who didn’t realize they even wanted it yet. In essence, it was my sincere wish to return the favor!  To that aim, I became a certified mindfulness meditation teacher so I might introduce this beautiful practice to people in many diverse settings. It is my honor and privilege to do so!

"The core invitation of mindfulness is for you to befriend yourself. That means recognizing and inhabiting your own intrinsic wholeness and beauty in the only moment any of us ever has - namely this one."
